“What I really love about Malin is that she expresses her thoughts and speaks her mind without being afraid of what anyone else thinks. She really helped me to overcome my fear of forgetting lines by showing me exercises and games to learn them and which give me confidence. She was very committed to the whole process. We met often and she took great interest in seeing my growth as an actor over the year. Because Malin is an actor, teacher and director, her input was invaluable to me as she had three different perspectives to give. I look forward to working with her in future.” -Fagun Thakrar, actress (Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain)

My one-to-one tuition is tailored for your individual need. Depending on your need the session may look a bit different. If you only need to prepare for an audition or a self tape the focus will be on that very special moment. If you would like to meet me more regularly my focus will be to give to you the tools you need to succeed as an actor. Tools that will give you freedom, independence and confidence in your further practice. After our first meeting we will together make a individual plan based upon your specific requirements.

Private tuition is for you who wish to do:

  • character preparation
  • audition preparation (self tape and/or physical audition)
  • text analysis
  • text memorization
  • move away from bad habits
  • get out of your comfort zone
  • basic acting skills (for new actors wishing to get into an acting career)

I welcome all levels of experience.

  • Beginners
  • Intermediate
  • Professional

An typical session takes 60 min. If you have booked an introductory session (see sessions & fees) we will spend time discussing your needs and goals and thereafter set up a plan. If you wish to book a one-to-one-session without the introductory session this discussion will be done over phone or by email correspondence.

Private tuition sessions are held in Surbiton which is a short commute of 17 min.  from Waterloo. If you would require a session elsewhere please get in touch.

Professional actors are encouraged to look for their own monologue or duologue. Drama School applicants may need guidance to choose the right text. Together we will find a text that you feel comfortable with.
