NOVEMBER 2015 – MAY 2016

Would you like to get back to acting? Or maybe try it for the first time? Would you like to boost up your self-confidence? Or do you just want be part of an incredibly encouraging and fun group of people?
If you have answered yes to one or more of the questions above, then this is the place for you.

The group will meet 14 times from November 2015 to May 2016. The aim is to create and develop a small performance to perform for a small audience in the end of May/beginning of June. The focus will be on the development of the performance, our growths as artists and as human beings, encouraging each other to think ‘outside the box’, to have fun and to meet new friends.

The workshops which are divided into two courses Exploring Authenticity and Exploring the Text, invites the actor to develop a naturalistic performance grounded in truth and authenticity. The workshops offers a number of exercises that the actor will take away after the the course and that will be invaluable in supporting their further practice.

The two courses can be taken individually or together.

These workshops aim to explore the actor’s relationship to body, mind, time and space.  They offer an opportunity to explore and deepen the actor’s understanding and experience of vocal, physical and emotional connections.  We explore movement and the power of non-verbal communication.  We invite the actor to openness, curiosity and empathy.  To find personal connections to the text from physical and emotional discoveries. The workshops explore the text and character with techniques that allow the actor to unlock the text through physical and vocal exercises.
